Akutsu Jouji, a member of the Kaeda Yakuza, experienced a turning point in 1983 after being defeated by a university cheering squad. This event set off a chain of unfortunate events that continued until his friend was ordered to kill him in 1993, prompting Jouji to take his own life. However, upon awakening, Jouji finds himself back in 1983 at the scene of the initial loss, this time armed with the benefit of ten additional years of experience and memories. With a new sense of purpose, Jouji vows to don a gold emblem and start his life over, using his wisdom to overcome his past setbacks.
