El Hazard: The Magnificent World

Makoto Mizuhara agrees to testify against Katsuhiko Jinnai, the student council president, over bribery allegations. During a chase, time freezes for everyone except Makoto, and he stumbles upon the school's basement where an ancient relic has been uncovered. An otherworldly woman, who claims to have been waiting 10,000 years for Makoto, appears and transports him to El-Hazard, a world she says will be his home. Others, including Jinnai, Masamichi Fujisawa, and Nanami Jinnai, are also caught in the spell. They find themselves in El-Hazard, where they become entangled in the lives of the inhabitants and face various challenges, including danger and romantic relationships.
