Taiki Kudou and Yuu Amano, along with their friend Tagiru Akashi, formed a basketball team a year after Bagramon's defeat. Tagiru stumbled upon the DigiQuartz, a realm bridging the human and digital worlds, and discovered that children worldwide had obtained Xros Loaders and Digimon partners. These Digimon can grow stronger by feeding on negative human emotions, but this comes at the cost of increased violence, prompting the Digimon Hunters to intervene. The DigiQuartz's creation also hides a darker purpose, setting the stage for the young Hunters' discoveries.
