Naoto Miura is a young clockmaker who dreams of greatness, but his progress has been hindered by his unusual talent for understanding clockwork mechanics through sound alone. His life changes with the arrival of RyuZU, a female automaton created by the legendary clockmaker Y, who falls from the sky into his apartment. This attracts the attention of Marie Bell Breguet, a skilled clockmaker from a respected family, and her cyborg bodyguard Vainney Halter. As tensions rise, Naoto and Marie become entangled in a battle for survival, revealing a long-hidden secret: the clockwork planet that has been humanity's home for over a thousand years is slowly failing.
