The Bounty Hunter System was established in 2099 to address the rise in Somadea-related crimes. Somadea, a medical android technology, had granted humans superior physical abilities, but unauthorized modifications made it a sought-after tool for illicit purposes. Civilians registered as bounty hunters were tasked with killing designated wanted criminals, who used Somadea for criminal activities, and were rewarded with bounty money. Ubu Kamigori, a bounty hunter, is central to this world, where she must navigate her own complicated past when Mr. Elegance appears in her life.
