Kanae Otowa's family mansion, Otowakan, is being foreclosed due to her father's debts. Kanae must evict the remaining residents, including her friend Sousuke Kagura and two eccentric men claiming to be her father's acquaintances: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven. Resurrected and now going by "Motes" and "Beethes," they've taken to non-musical activities, such as indulging in various hobbies. Beethes's discovery of the Musik system saves Otowakan from demolition and temporarily halts his eviction, attracting other Musik users like Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt, and Franz Schubert to the mansion.
