Chobits

Hideki Motosuwa, a country boy studying hard to get into college, finds himself struggling financially. He discovers an abandoned Persocom while walking home and decides to take her in, naming her Chii after her repetitive phrase. As Chii has no knowledge and cannot download information, Hideki teaches her about the world, balancing his studies and friendship with his efforts to understand her unique nature. The possibility that Chii might be a "Chobit," an urban legend about Persocoms with human emotions, complicates the situation.
