Charlotte of the Young Grass

Charlotte lives with her father on a farm in Canada. On her 12th birthday, he reveals that her mother, whom she believed to be deceased, is actually alive in Paris, but plans to join them soon. This news initially causes Charlotte distress, but her life is further complicated when her father passes away shortly after. Following her father's death, Charlotte must navigate various challenges, including her grandfather's pressure to return to their noble family and the threat of the landowner who is trying to acquire her father's farm.
