Aichi Sumeragi and his friends are celebrating their National Tournament win, but their victory is short-lived as Takuto Tatsunagi appears with news about the Royal Paladins, Dark Paladins, and Kagero leaders being captured. This sets off a chain of events that leads to the introduction of Limit Break, a new power in the world of Vanguard. As a result of the Royal Paladins' loss of fighting ability, Aichi's deck is changed to a Gold Paladin deck. Now, Aichi and his friends must participate in the Vanguard VF Circuit to uncover more about what's happening on Cray and rescue their captured friends.
