Yukichi Fukuzawa's freelance bodyguard business isn't taking off as he hoped, so he's surprised by the arrival of Ranpo Edogawa, a young and outspoken individual. Their initial meeting is linked to a bizarre murder investigation, which eventually leads to the formation of the Armed Detective Agency. As Ranpo continues to work on a case involving a master thief with exceptional abilities, he uncovers a larger conspiracy aimed at destroying the Agency. The Agency members, now framed as terrorists, must clear their names despite the odds against them.
