Black Rock Shooter

Mato Kuroi and Yomi Takanashi, two students at a junior high school, meet on their first day. Mato befriends Yomi after discovering they share an interest in a particular book series, "Li'l Birds At Play," which is evident from a decorative blue bird on Mato's phone. As their friendship deepens, they remain unaware that in a parallel universe, they have taken on alternate forms: Mato as Black★Rock Shooter and Yomi as Dead Master. The actions of the two in their respective worlds seem to have an unintended impact on each other.
