During the dark century, Vandel, a powerful devil who can control monsters, dominates the continent. The Vandel Busters, a group of skilled hunters, aim to defeat these devils. Beet, a young boy, has always aspired to join the elite Zenon Squad, the strongest busters on the continent. His dream is complicated by the fact that he's responsible for the Zenon Squad's defeat at the hands of Beltose, a formidable devil. After the Zenon Squad's demise, Beet inherited their five powerful weapons, the Saiga, which were imbued with their life force.
