Astarotte's Toy EX consists of a three-part OVA series. The first part focuses on Lotte and Asuha working on a school project, during which they learn more about each other. The second segment delves into Zelda's backstory as Lotte's bodyguard. The final part is a flashback that explores the relationship between the queen and Naoya, which ultimately led to Asuha's conception ten years prior.
