Juna Ariyoshi, a Japanese schoolgirl with a strong interest in nature, dies in a motorcycle accident with her boyfriend Tokio Oshima. Chris Hawken intervenes, giving Juna the chance to live in exchange for becoming the avatar of time. This new role comes with the responsibility of fighting to protect the Earth from raaja, malevolent forces born from pollution. Juna must now balance mastering her powers with uncovering the consequences of humanity's reliance on science and technology on our connection with nature.
