Akutsu Akuru, a studious and disciplined individual, is often tasked with mitigating the chaos caused by Yoshiko Hanabatake, a girl notorious for consistently scoring zeroes on her tests and exhibiting an obsessive interest in bananas. Their childhood friendship has led Akuru to accept responsibility for keeping Yoshiko's antics in check, frequently intervening to prevent her destructive behavior. Despite his best efforts, Yoshiko's idiocy seems to be resistant to reason, and she often involves other eccentric individuals in her escapades, making her unpredictable nature a constant challenge for Akutsu.
